Welcome to ScanMemphis!
This site goes into all aspects of the Memphis and Shelby County digital radio communications system. This radio system is a Motorola Type II, APCO 25 compliant radio system. It uses both digital and analog modulation for voice. The system is used for all of the City of Memphis and Shelby County public safety agencies.
The system is also home to all of the city and county gov't sectors. There is a live scanner here at ScanMemphis for your listening enjoyment. You will hear the Memphis Police and Shelby County Sheriff dispatch talkgroups. During severe weather events, the live scanner will follow the local SKYWARN weather frequencies, and the EMA. We hope you enjoy the site and the live scanner. If you have any comments, problems, or suggestions, please email them to us.

Site Outage
I apologize for the site being out of service. I ran into some problems with my new (now former) hosting company, and have switch, yet again, to another hosting company, hopefully this time for good.
No data has been lost since the site went down, so everything should be just as it was.
Email will be somewhat off for a bit, as will the site until all the settings and whatnot have changed over to the new hosting company.
